This supercar idea is a futuristic take on the legendary Mercedes-Benz C 111, which was groundbreaking in the 1960s and 1970s. This otherworldly creature commands awe and curiosity with its copper-infused orange paint job and gullwing doors. The YASA, an electric motor expert and Mercedes-Benz AG subsidiary, is in charge of this device, which features a really potent but very small axial-flux motor and cutting-edge battery technology. The small motor suggests future possibilities by opening up a larger, more lounge-like interior space, which is unheard of in a sports car. The exquisitely designed seats are flush-mounted into the floor and have diamond-quilted pattern stitching and sustainable processed white and silver leather. The Vision One-Eleven offers two modes: Lounge and Race, allowing you to actually select your adventure. Smooth seats in Lounge Mode beckon passengers to unwind, signaling the transition to self-driving automobiles. They sit low and back in Race Mode, which draws inspiration from Formula One.
With the Magic Leap 2 augmented reality headgear, its user experience system turns science fiction into reality. With contextually relevant information integrated into their environment, tenants may immerse themselves in a different environment — a result that turns the entire vehicle into a user interface.
The Mercedes-Benz International Design Center in Carlsbad, California, hosted the premiere of the Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven.
The Mercedes-Benz Vision One-Eleven is a futuristic notion whose form is modeled after the legendary C111 prototypes.
According to Mercedes, the One-Eleven has an axial-flux electric motor that is lighter and smaller than comparable radial-flux motors that are currently employed in electric vehicles.
An odd LED pixel dashboard, an unconventional rectangular steering wheel, and showy silver seats are some of the unique characteristics of the cabin.
The Mercedes-Benz C111 prototypes of the 1960s and 1970s were equipped with a variety of turbo-diesel and Wankel rotary engines to serve as test beds for new powertrain technologies. Mercedes has now introduced the Vision One-Eleven concept, which, like its predecessor, anticipates how the brand will respond to the changing automotive environment as the industry moves away from combustion engines and toward electric power.

The Vision One-Eleven's gorgeous supercar appearance is obviously influenced by the original C111 prototype, which had a bright orange paint job and spectacular gullwing doors. The silhouette of the idea, which mimics the cab-forward aerodynamic shapes of Mercedes's current EV products like the EQS and EQE, has a single line that extends from front to back in a subtle curve. With a height of only 46 inches at its highest point, the roof's design is supported by thick black side skirts, a front splitter, and a massive rear diffuser with blue backlighting. Referring to the One-Eleven's black highlights, Mercedes claims that this gives the impression that it is "fused with the road surface."
The front of the One-Eleven has an oval panel with pixelated LEDs that replicate the fog lights of the C111 and may also communicate messages to pedestrians and other motorists, rather than a grille. The opaque windows have a similar pixelated design, which we have seen on other Mercedes concepts like the Vision AMG. A similar panel may be seen at the back. The enormous wheels' complex architecture is intended to mimic the windings of electric motors.

The One-exterior Eleven's screams high-performance supercar, but the interior is capable of morphing into a lounge, which is a recurring theme in futuristic electric vehicles. Given the low-slung body, the interior is roomy, with plenty of space for the seats to recline backwards because the engine is not taking up any space behind the driver. The chair backs are raised to an upright position in "race" mode.

Inside the One-Eleven, the unique orange tint is also noticeable. The vibrant leather, which Mercedes claims was tanned using coffee bean husks, stands out against the white dashboard material, which is made of recycled polyester. The dashboard is basic, with a full-width LED pixel display that mimics vintage news tickers by showing critical data like speed. It also displays QR codes that connect to digital artworks, which will then be shown on the touchscreen. Don't ask us why.

The accelerator and brake pedals, as well as the dials and switches, are made of polished aluminum, which goes well with the seats' glossy silver appearance, which is reminiscent of vintage astronaut gear. The unusual rectangular leather-wrapped steering wheel has a little touchscreen that is angled towards the driver and protrudes from the steering column. Mercedes also discussed a headgear with augmented reality that transforms the whole interior into the user interface, complete with 3D controls, icons, and maps for navigation. In addition, the AR system will enhance outside visibility by making the One-Eleven's hood and A-pillars seem translucent.

The One-Eleven idea is powered by an axial-flux motor that Mercedes only refers to as "exceptionally powerful" and that was created by a British battery manufacturer named YASA, which the automaker fully acquired in 2021. According to Mercedes, this technology is being developed for its next generation of electric vehicles, adding that axial-flux motors are only one-third the weight of a radial-flux unit of comparable power, which is the type of motor that is now used in the majority of electric vehicles. In addition, it occupies just one-third of the area.
